Horseback riding Costa Cucao

Before starting this adventure, there will be a little safety talk about the horses and the tour as such, then we will go to the south west of the island of Grande, the sector of Cucao, famous for Cole Cole Beach and the Mystic Pier of Souls. On horseback we can enjoy all this beautiful coastal border, passing through a dune field where we will find a great biodiversity of birds and flora. The ride includes a rich picnic based on local products, plus an incredible view of the cliffs and the coasts.

Horseback riding pier of souls

Once we are all at the starting point of this activity, we will give a brief safety talk about the horses and the route as such. Later we will take a course to Cucao where our guides will be responsible for guiding this beautiful adventure, heading towards the sector of Rahue, towards the south, where we will meet a local couple, who have been collecting fossils from the area since a long time and they will share their great knowledge in this activity with us.

 

Finally, we will reach the sector of Punta Pirulil where the Great pier of Las Animas is waiting for us, with a history behind it that you will get to know through local stories. 
At this point you can relax and enjoy a rich variety of products from the area, as well as seeing a completely different perspective of the island, with lots of flora and fauna around you and the great Pacific Ocean.

Pingüineras de Puñihuil

In this tour we will go to the northern sector of the Isla Grande, passing through the beautiful city of Ancud and then locate in the Natural Monument islets of Puñihuil, place of nesting of 2 species of penguins and home to innumerable species of birds and mammals.

Later, we will visit the city of Ancud, where we will know the ' ' Fundación Iglesias de Chiloé ' ', its souvenir shop and the great Fort San Antonio, an old fortification used in the colonial times by the Spanish people with the purpose of protecting themselves from possible pirates which have been numerous at that time, or some other foreign craft that would like to steal the riches of the colony located in this territory.

Some species possible to find: Magellanic Penguin, Humboldt Penguin, Rumpus, Quetru not flying, Lile Cormorant, Black Pilpilén, Chungungo, Sea Swallow among others...

Queilen Channel Navigation

In this new maritime adventure we will move to the beautiful village of Queilen, to board the boat that will transport us a little outside our comfort zone, away from the mainland, to be able to see with our own eyes diverse types of seabirds, mussels cultivation centers (mussels), sea lions and southern dolphins, as we pass through one of their most frequent routes.

The destination of this adventure is the islet Rabbit, where they inhabit different species of birds and in summer nests a colony of Magellanic penguins; During the trip there will be a seafood tasting in the area.

An ideal trip for those who enjoy seeing the wild life in its most natural state.
