Environment

The horseback riding is carried out on the banks of the river and the surrounding mountains, through ancestral tracks used by the ancient inhabitants of the island.

Its vegetal life is the Valdivian forest, characterized by a dense forest formed by evergreen trees, shrubs and climbing plants, with a great variety of trees such as Coihue, Ulmo, Canelo, Arrayán, among others.

The native fauna has more than 35 species of birds that inhabit the island among which we can highlight the hummingbird, kingfisher and thrush. Of the terrestrial mammals, the largest are the chilote fox (which only inhabits the Grand Island and the Nahuelbuta mountain range) and the venadito or pudú (one of the smallest deer in the world).
